Chang Hag Kim, Chairman of DaePung Korea
Mr. Chang Hag Kim is a highly respected leader with over 30 years of experience in the global EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) industry.
As the former President and CEO of Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd., he successfully led major international projects in areas such as petrochemical plants, renewable energy, green hydrogen, nuclear power, and infrastructure development.
Now at DaePung Korea, Mr. Kim is driving our expansion into clean and sustainable energy sectors, starting with strategic initiatives in Sabah, Malaysia – including EV charging, solar energy, biomass, and smart grid development.
His deep industry knowledge and visionary leadership are expected to play a key role in supporting global net-zero efforts and helping shape a low-carbon future.

Daepung Holdings Group began its journey in 1978 as Daepung Commerce, initially operating in the marine industry in Busan, Republic of Korea. With a strong foundation in marine operations, the company expanded its scope in 2008 by establishing Daepung Commercial to take on larger roles in the oil and gas industry. This evolution reflects the group’s commitment to growth and innovation, leading to the formation of Daepung Korea Co., Ltd., dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions.
